On behalf of the NZSA and ANZCA, I would like to express my gratitude to a number of people for making the 2018 New Zealand Anaesthesia Annual Scientific Meeting a great success.
Our meeting, ‘Face the Future’, was intended to inspire new ideas and equip delegates with new skills. Our speakers, both from overseas and New Zealand, embraced the theme, and were instrumental in delivering on these aims. A huge thank you to all our speakers, and the workshop presenters for all the time, energy and effort that they invested in our meeting.
The meeting would not have been possible without the extremely generous response from the Healthcare Industry. We are extremely grateful to our sponsors: Medtronic, MSD, The NZ Coffee Company and mORstaff, and to all our exhibitors. I trust they found the meeting and the networking useful and productive.
It was a privilege to work with the Middlemore Anaesthetic Department Organising Committee for nearly 3 years. A talented, energetic and enthusiastic group of people ensured that the planning and work required to deliver the meeting was fun and productive. We were guided and supported by the outstanding conference organisers “Outshine”, Jill Schirnack and the team were brilliant.
