The New Zealand Dermatology Society would like to welcome you to their annual conference which returns  after 6 years to Wellington.

The conference will be held at the picturesque Waterfront in Shed 6, a versatile contemporary space, which we are excited to adapt to our requirements.

We will keep the trusted format of sessions and are looking forward to covering a broad spectrum of dermatological topics ranging from medical subspecialties to surgical and cosmetic aspects. As a preview, we are excited to have Associate Professor Michelle Tarbox from Texas Tech University, USA, and plastic surgeon Mr Brandon Adams together with our own Dr Neil Mortimer, and Dr Eugene Tan focusing on sustainability in dermatology. In addition to encouraging presentations by our dermatology registrars, we would like to invite each one of you to consider submitting a presentation of your area of expertise, experience, interest, viewpoint, or clinical pearl. Together we will keep our dermatology current to continue our best clinical practice and improve the skin- and thereby general health of everybody in Aotearoa.

We are also looking forward to sharing stimulating peer support time again during our coffee breaks,  and promise a night to remember for our Conference Dinner on stage of the historic Wellington Opera House.

In keeping with our strengthening focus on sustainability, the conference hotels, Shed 6 event space and conference dinner venue will all be within easy walking distance, facilitating activity-snacking in the refreshing waterfront air to improve our wellbeing and learning.

So we encourage you all to mark 20 – 23 August 2025 in your diary for a conference to remember, and look forward to welcoming you to our NZDSI conference in Wellington!

Yours collegially

Dr Darshan Singh and Dr Sabine Sommer
