NEW ZEaland DERMATOLOGICAL SOCIETY INC
(NZDSI) Annual Conference 2024

Dunedin Centre | Dunedin Ōtepoti | 28 -31 August

Aroha katoa! Dear all!

It is a great honour for me to warmly invite you on behalf of our organising committee to join us at our New Zealand Dermatological Society Inc. (NZDSI) Annual Conference 2024. A gathering where we share not only our scientific knowledge, clinical experiences and expertise and new ideas but also, connect more within our dermatological community.

The 2024 NZDSI Conference will be held from 28 to 31 August 2024 in Dunedin Ōtepoti , South Island. The venue will be in the Town Hall, which is a heritage-rich venue, located right in the vibrant city centre. The city itself is known for its quirky cafes, amazing food, boutiques and heritage and historical buildings. Dunedin offers much more. This UNESCO city of literature has the oldest University in NZ and has a very rich cultural and sporting background. It is surrounded by dramatic hills, splendid little harbour, picturesque and stunning beaches, and unique biodiversity. It is also known as the Wildlife Capital thanks to the northern royal albatross, the only world mainland-breeding colony, the world’s smallest penguins living in the Otago Peninsula and seals and sea lions that you can observe in their natural habitat. Dunedin is known among local people as the “Hidden Pearl of South Island”.

Whether you will be attending the conference for the first or twelfth time, we promise to make it worth your while. We hope you will enjoy lectures given by our international keynote speakers - Prof. Daniel Siegel, the previous AAD President from the USA, and Dr Shyam Verma from India known for his extensive clinical knowledge. After the intensity of the scientific program, we will be rewarded with a dinner function that will take place at the stunning Victorian Larnach Castle, rich in folklore and the only such building in NZ located on the Otago Peninsula.

We look forward to meeting you at the NZDSI Annual Conference 2024 here in Dunedin Ōtepoti!

We also hope to create great learning opportunities and lovely memories for you all at this event.
