Rotorua has a compact CBD and a comprehensive public transport system - so getting around Rotorua is easy.

The city is a leisurely 2.5 hour drive, or 45 minute flight, from Auckland, and a 5.5 hour drive, or 1 hour flight, from New Zealand’s capital city of Wellington.

Rotorua Airport is only 10 minutes from the CBD with a regular bus service running to and from the Airport throughout the day.
